Pattern is Happy Halloween by Primrose Cottage Stitches |
Better late than never but it’s all finished! Yesterday I bought an unfinished wood frame from Michaels that I painted black and added a touch of metallic to give it a bit of shine and then sanded around the edges for a slight distressed look.
Once the paint was all dry, I glued on an 8”x 8” piece of Tim Holtz fabric in Wicked, glued black trim around the inside edge of the frame to give it a more finished look and also used the same trim for a hanger. I just noticed my piece isn’t quite centered but I love it and think it will be great for next year.
Today at Hobby Lobby I picked up a few pieces that I will be using for Thanksgiving and Christmas cross stitch projects, plus two kits. Christmas and Thanksgiving items were 50% off, so that made me very happy.

Isn’t this wheel barrow |
I’m getting ready to to start my first Thanksgiving stitching project, a free pattern that was included in my recent Primrose Cottage Stitches newsletter. My fabric is ready and I have all my thread colors collected, time to start stitching!
I have too many knitting projects on the needles again – sigh. It is fun to have options but it would also be fun to finish some things!

Juliann I totally get that and that was me last month. Now I only have vanilla socks on my needles and will work on them when I feel like. Meantime I’m enjoying working on other things, especially cross stitching.

I am having fun working on a test knit for a toddler sweater. Should be finished in a day or two, then back to the pile of WIPs!

I haven’t test knitted in years and sounds like you’re enjoying what you are testing. I have a pile of WIPs too, some day I’ll finish them.
