On My Bookshelf: Hallowe’en Party 🎃

I finished Death Comes to Pemberley yesterday and posted this short review on Goodreads…

I have never read any of Austen’s books, so my review is not one from a diehard fan. That being said, I truly loved this book and found it quite refreshing. There was enough intrigue to keep me going and even though I saw the PBS production of this book, I could not remember who killed Denny. For me it was the perfect book to read for October.”

I truly enjoyed this book and think it would be one I could read again. So this one will stay on the bookshelf for a while.  I am now reading Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie and think this will a fun read.  I am giving a copy, along with a Halloween card, to my mother-n-law. I hope she enjoys it too!

At a Hallowe’en party, Joyce—a hostile thirteen-year-old—boasts that she once witnessed a murder. When no one believes her, she storms off home. But within hours her body is found, still in the house, drowned in an apple-bobbing tub. – from Goodreads

  1. Mary I really enjoyed Death Comes to Pemberly and found it interesting, and even refreshing. You definitely can’t go wrong with Agatha Christie and so far this book does not disappoint.
