“Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Yesterday was a very relaxing day which allowed me me to concentrate on finishing up my crocheted hat.
So this handspun (shown below) that has been in my stash for a very long time turned into a lovely crocheted hat. The fiber was Anzula Luxury BFL Fiber in the color Forest. When I bought my fiber, I bought three braids. My first braid I decided to 2 ply but after learning how to chain ply, I decided that the other two braids would be finished in a chained ply (a.k.a Navajo Plied). I ended up with one skein at 166 yards and the other at 100 yards.
Sundays to me are the best days of the week. It’s a day of resting, a day of preparation and a day spent entirely with the man I love. We don’t do too much on Sundays. Sometimes we go out to a favorite antique shop, but normally we just stay home and enjoy the day.
This morning is starting off with me making biscuits for the week (hubby’s breakfast every morning) and a peach cobbler for desert tonight.
For anyone interested, here’s the link to the peach cobbler recipe I am trying today. Pie made in a cast iron skillet and cooked on the grill is always awesome!
