Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either. – Elizabeth Zimmerman
I been working on my two knitting projects and quite pleased with the progress I’ve made. I won’t bore you with a photo of my sweater but I am back to the point where I was before I had to rip it back to the ribbing and that makes me quite happy. With straight stockinette and a size 10 needle it knits up rather quickly and is the perfect project for me to have during the day to work on as it is rather mindless
Last night I worked on my toe up vanilla sock and I am almost ready to start the cuff. I started this sock in April but for some reason I just haven’t been in the mood for sock knitting of late. I think it’s because I’m on a sweater knitting kick and focused on my goal of what I want to finish this summer. However I am so close to finishing that I may start working on it so I can cast on the mate.
My only other project is a non-knitting one. I am drawing again and working on a floral piece. Drawing, like knitting, is very soothing to my soul and takes my mind away from the daily stress of life. I am still trying to decide on the best Bible verse or quote for the round sphere on the bottom, and I am hopeful I will find just the right thing.
Until next time, be creative!
