Early this morning I casted on another Nuuk Sweater using a new to me yarn I picked up at Joann called K+C Element. I enjoy trying new and different yarns, even those yarns from big box stores.
From Joann’s Website: This yarn is made using cotton and acrylic. It is soft, comfortable and a durable yarn. It is great for clothing such as sweaters and ponchos, home decor like pillows and blankets and accessories like hats and scarves. Content: 90% Cotton and 10% Acrylic Suggested Needle Size: US 8/5mm 19STS 4″x4″ 25RUS I/9 – 5.5mm 14SC 4″-4″ 18R
I made good progress this morning and really love how the knitted gray colored fabric is looking. It feels very light and I think it’s going to be perfect for the hot summers here in Phoenix.
I think this sweater pattern is soon to become an all time favorite. The simply construction and design is so very versatile, and perfect for any type of worsted weight yarn. I am planning to knit a few more in cotton and excited to have something comfortable to wear with shorts or jeans.
Until next time, be creative!
