It’s Friday!!!

I will be honest, not too much went on with my current WIPs this week but I think I have made decent progress considering the little bit of love they received.

In my basket is currently my second Flax Sweater (knitting it up in Lion Brand Wool-Ease in the color Linen) and my Quick Win Raglan (crocheting it up in Noro Akari in the color Ibuski).  I love each sweater I am working on and can’t wait to see them finished.

First up is my Quick Win Raglan. After several rip backs to the arm hole, I finally am happy with the way this sweater is looking.  I think I should have gone down a size, but this is written with 25% ease for a more roomy sweater. The brown tones of the Akari yarn is awesome and I am head of heels in love with the way it is crocheting up.

Next is my Flax Sweater. The last few days I have been concentrating more on my Flax sweater and have about 6” to go before I start the bottom band.  This is a simple project and since it’s just stockinette, it makes it a mindless knitting project that I can easily have with me during the day.

I am hopeful to have both of these sweaters finished this month so that I can start a second Nuuk Sweater. If I set my mind to it, this can be done!

This morning I made sure that my newly repotted succulents were doing ok and they look so very happy.  I also discovered that one of our succulents in another bowl is blooming!!

I am so in love with these little plants and want to learn how to grow and care for them even more. I bought three books (Water Me Next Week, Succulents: Choosing, Growing and Caring For Cactus and other Succulents and Succulent Container Gardens) from Amazon that should be here this weekend that I am look forward to reading and learning more about the care of these delightful plants.

Since this weekend is Mother’s Day weekend, hubby and I are heading over to see his Mom tomorrow. I am thinking about stopping in at Lowes and picking up a fun succulent bowl for her and thinks she would love it.  I wish I could do the same for my Mom, but know that she is looking down from heaven to see what I’m doing.

Until next time, be creative!
