After watching the last few podcast episodes by Kate of the Hawthorn Cottage Craft, I have started two sweaters, a modified Flax Sweater and a Nuuk Sweater. I am really enjoying both projects and so happy that I can continue to use up stash yarn for projects and not buy more yarn unless I just have too.
For my Flax Sweater, I am using Lion Brand Wool-Ease in the color Linen. I have modified the neckline and have decided not to do the garter stitch rows down the sleeves. Everything else will be as the pattern is written.
For my Nuuk sweater, I am using Shelter by Brooklyn Tweed. Since I am using stash yarn, the top portion is being knitted in the color Fossil and the bottom will be in the colors Snowbound and Soot. I am loving knitting with the Shelter, it’s such a bouncy woolly wool that is so squishy soft!
I am also working on a pair of vanilla toe up socks using Plymouth Happy Feet in 100 Splash in the color Autumn. I absolutely LOVE this yarn!
I seem to have a case of startitus and want to cast on everything. I plan to cast on two vests, Gan and Joan’s Vest. I am going through my stash to see what I have that would be perfect for these two projects. I want to spin too, but first I must finish up the last bit of my Corridale from Quillin Fiberarts in Sleepy Hollow.
Until next time, be creative!
