Yesterday, I finished spinning the 4oz of shetland that was gifted to me by my friend Lara. I loved spinning this fiber, it was a cheerful and spun up rather quickly.
As I mentioned in my July 21st post, I opted to spin this as bulky weight and I really love how it turned out. I am still learning to spin in bulky weight and it has been a bit of a challenge as I somehow seem to manage have a few runs of thick-n-thin as I spin. So, consistency is not quite there yet but will come with much practice.
Fiber: 100% Shetland Wool
Color: Candy
Dyer: Knit Spin Farm
Weight: 4 oz
Early today I chain plied …. look at the colors!!!
I ended up with 45 yards of bulky weight yarn.
I love spinning bulky weight yarn and plan to do more of it. Once I feel that my consistency is there, I plan to purchase a Super Flyer (see my July 13 post here).
Until next time, be creative!
